How a Bill Becomes a Law:
How Much of Your Civics Do You Remember?
Speaker: Steve Cwodzinski, Minnesota State Senator
Cwodzinski was a teacher of American government for 33 years before running for office. He will bring valuable experience while showing how a bill moves along in the legislature to finally find a place on the ballot. His name appears on several bills, and he will be able to tell us how they fared during the legislative process. A knowledge of how our government works is necessary in order for us to be informed and responsible citizens. Not everyone has the opportunity to teach about something and then actually see how it works.
