Speaker: Anita Makar, Minneapolis Branch AAUW Member

Anita Makar’s younger sister, Jo, died suddenly of cardiac arrest. While looking for grief support, she found little written about adult sibling loss. Makar decided to put her letters and journal entries into a book titled No New Memories: A Story of Adult Sibling Loss. People who have lost an adult sibling may have experienced the feeling of being a “forgotten mourner.” Makar has taught a variety of courses and workshops on aging. Hear her sister story of love, loss, and healing. -Jan Paulsen
