    We want to share our fascinating experiences while visiting Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam–the people and places, cruising on the Mekong River, major cities, and the Angkor Wat temple complex.

Worker’s Rights in the 21st Century

Speaker: Barbara Kucera, Labor Education Service, Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota

Kucera will focus on the economic situation facing the American workforce in a global economy.  She will speak about the role unions play and the challenges workers face due to changing labor laws.

Current Law Enforcement Issues in Minneapolis

Speaker: Janeé Harteau, Chief of Police, City of Minneapolis

Harteau is the first women nominated to be the Chief of Police for the City of Minneapolis.  She will discuss current law enforcement issues and tell us about her experiences and the career path that led to the chief’s position.
