Auction Items:
1. MURDER MYSTERY DINNER: Share a “dramatic evening” for eight at the home of Harriette Krasnoff. You and your guests will arrive in character, one of whom is the murderer! Gourmet chef, Harriette, will provide a delicious three course dinner, complete with wine, while the story unfolds.
2. DINNER WITH A FOOD CRITIC: Mpls/St Paul Magazine “Global Eats” Food Critic, Peter Lilienthal, will host four lucky diners at a local ethnic restaurant. Be prepared to sample a wide variety of menu items, share your impressions and you may be the inspiration for Peter’s column!
3. PINE NEEDLE DESIGN WOOL BLANKET: A beautiful 64 x 80 inch wool blanket with an original design by Laurie Jacobi. The design was inspired by the mystical symbols used by Saami shamans in pre-Christian Scandinavia.
4. A WEEKEND AT THE ‘TEEPEE’: Relax for a weekend for four at Mary and Tom Heller’s lovely cabin, the “Teepee,” near Minong, Wisconsin. Gourmet meals cooked by the hosts, sauna, hot tub and fireplace overlooking the lake will ensure a relaxed stay.
5. BODEGA BAY GETAWAY: Enjoy five nights of coastal living in the three-bedroom home of the Rebanes. The house overlooks a Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course and has ocean and harbor views. Bodega Bay is 70 miles north of San Francisco and 15 miles south of the Russian River. Beach walking, whale watching, and wine tasting are just a few of the activities that await you and up to six companions.
6. MINK JACKET: Winters will never be the same in this elegant, blush-dyed white mink cord jacket with blush-dyed fox trim. This will take you from the grocery store to the opera! Origin of fur: Denmark/Norway.
7. ITALIAN DINNER: This evening will feature a four-course Italian dinner for eight that borrows from several Italian gourmet traditions with complementary wines.

We need your talents and donations!
Plans are underway for Bella Notte! The evening will begin with a social hour that will include Italian music, appetizers, and the opportunity to bid on silent auction items featuring your talents and resources. We will then enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner with wine (non-alcoholic beverages also available) in the Presidents’ Hall, followed by a live auction and dessert.
Last year’s auction was a huge success thanks to the inspired donations from members. We hope to have 50-60 auction items this year. The donation possibilities are unlimited! Be creative! Share your Time, Talents, Tickets, and Creations!
We’d love to receive auction offerings in the following categories:
- Sports
- Art
- Theater, Restaurants, and Music Certificates
- Services (lessons, something of the month)
- One of a Kind Creations
- Books
- Basket of Treasures gathered with a Theme
- Consider giving something you would really like to have yourself!
We also will need donations of many bottles of wine (valued at $10 or more). We will be selling “Corks for the Community” at the event to be exchanged for a delicious bottle of wine.
Remember, all donations are fully tax deductible.
Let us know what you plan to contribute by sending an e-mail to AAUWauction@gmail.com. You may also call the Auction Coordinators: Sharon Bigot at 612-378-2783 or Carrie D’Andrea at 952-835-5890.
