We Are All Criminals
Speaker: Ingrid Nuttall, Former Board President, We Are All Criminals Foundation
One in four people in Minnesota has a criminal record; however, this local organization posits that four in four have a criminal history. That is–we’ve all violated the law, but only a portion of us are labeled criminal. Nuttall will speak about crime, punishment, privilege, and mercy as she shares her perspective on how decades of drug wars, private prisons, tough-on-crime policies, and concentrated policing in minority communities have created massive problems for the incarcerated people and their families.
