When facing the puzzling and difficult dilemma of coping with children with autism spectrum disorders, what are families, school, and communities to do? Our speaker, who has worked in the field of educating students and family members facing these problems, will describe some of the latest research and methods of treatment which will help these children achieve their full potential. -Barbara Eiger

Diffley’s experience as a vegetable farmer, an advocate for organic agriculture, and successful litigant against Koch Industries’ attempt to run an oil pipeline across the Diffleys’ Gardens of Eagan gives her a unique approach to empowerment. Her memoir, Turn Here Sweet Corn, published this spring, has been called a farm journal, love story, and legal thriller. -Ann Burckhardt

Frank Theatre is a professional theatre company committed to producing unique work that stretches the skills of artists who create the work while challenging the everyday perceptions of the audience through the exploration of ideas and issues of social, political, and/or cultural concern. Knox has directed over 45 productions since founding the theatre in 1989. She will talk about creating the company, selecting the plays, and other stories involving the theater. -Marty Sedof
