Speaker: Dr. Eric Kaler, President, University of Minnesota

President Kaler will discuss the University’s teaching, research, and public engagement mission. He will talk about the University’s commitment to equity and diversity, his initiative to close Minnesota’s achievement gap, and the importance of access to excellent higher education for all qualified Minnesota students. -Ginny Craig

Title IX is 40 Years Old!
Speaker: Mary Jo Kane, Professor, School of Kinesiology and Director of the Tucker Center for Research on Girls and Women in Sport, College of Education and Human Development, University of Minnesota

Title IX has made a significant difference in women’s participation in sports, as well as other activities once considered off-limits for girls and women. We will learn about its history, impact, and issues from Professor Kane, a national expert on the subject. -Shari Parsons
