The Brown Revolution: Harnessing Soil Microbes to Feed a Hungry Planet

Speaker: Linda Kinkel, Professor, Department of Plant Pathology, University of Minnesota

Global population size is expected to climb to nine billion by 2050. We lack sufficient quality food for existing populations. Kinkel will explore soil microbes and the complex relationships between plants and their microbiomes, with a focus on enhancing crop production in developing and developed countries.
