The Ronald McDonald House serves families with
children receiving care for life-threatening illnesses at Twin Cities area hospitals. Support is provided through a variety of services. This includes education through an accredited school which helps sick children, their siblings, and parents continue their studies throughout treatment.

As a journalist, Lenfestey has covered climate science since 1988. He is currently on the advisory board of the Will Steger Foundation which focuses on education about climate change. Also, he is on the committee of Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light, which urges the faith community to act on the moral implications of climate change. He has published a collection of poems about his grief over the problem of love and despair for planet earth.

Gillette will talk about twenty years in the performing arts, from Lincoln Center in New York to running the Minnesota Fringe Festival in Minneapolis. Her latest venture, Arts Progress, is a one-woman arts consulting practice designed to make artists and organizations better at the business of being artists.
