Rising Out of Hatred by Eli Saslo

Written by a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter the book, Rising Out of Hatred: The Awakening of a Former White Nationalist, chronicles the life of Derek Black, an elected politician and radio show host who is regarded as “the leading light” of the white nationalist movement. Derek Black was homeschooled and thus sheltered from direct outrage against his beliefs until he enrolled in New College of Florida. This book helps us understand America’s white nationalist movement and how people of differing ethnicities can better relate to one another
.
