The State of Recycling in Hennepin County
Hennepin County is a regional and national leader in environmental management. Charged with meeting Minnesota’s waste reduction and diversion goals, Hennepin County has a long history of adopting policies and implementing programs that prioritize waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting. In 2014, the state of Minnesota increased its recycling goal for the metro counties to 75% by 2030. Collopy will provide an overview of current management of waste in Hennepin County and discuss the county’s strategies for reaching the state goal.

Many feel our health care system is sick, and it is likely to get worse if we continue to tinker with small changes. Marty will speak about problems in our current system, how we can make real change, and a path to achieving healthcare that is accessible and affordable for everyone.
