The British have long believed themselves to be set apart from the continent in a geographical sense but also in a cultural and political sense. Is the Brexit just one more step in a very long, complicated history between the British Isles and the continent?

Speaker: Tracy Beltz, Warden, Shakopee Women’s Prison

Leading to her present warden position, Beltz first worked with the state as a security counselor. She will present background on the prison, makeup of the prison population, and the programs offered at the facility. Beltz will show what potential new construction projects offer for the future
