In the 1930s, St. Paul Police Chief Tom Brown not only had too many connections with the underworld, but he also was a full player in some of the most blatant crimes committed by the city’s Prohibition-fueled gangland – including murder. And, he got away with it.

Speaker: Carolyn Smallwood of Way to Grow

Each year in Minneapolis 2,300 people are served by the nonprofit Way to Grow. The staff and trained volunteers work closely with parents and communities to assure that vulnerable children have an opportunity for success in life starting with a healthy birth through excellent preparation for school and beyond. Learn about Way to Grow’s successes and challenges.
