Digital Manufacturing: A Look into the Near Future

Speaker: Scott Simenson, Director, FabLab, Century CollegeUniversity of Wisconsin, Stout Discovery Center

We are beginning a new era in manufacturing that some are heralding as the third phase in the digital revolution. 3D printing is one component. Simenson will present technological breakthroughs and theories and applied work currently conducted in this field. There will be a discussion of the role digital fabrication labs are playing in helping to link current theory and research to society. -Esther Fabes

Mylou Moua, Evaluating and Testing Specialist, Multilingual Department, Minneapolis Public Schools

Our speakers work daily with new immigrants. They will present an overview of multilingual education focusing on English Language Learning and bilingual education at Minneapolis Andersen School. Learn the challenges and successes of recent arrivals as they adapt to a new country. -Diane Boruff
