The Christie brothers volunteered for the First Minnesota Light Artillery, working as “cannoneers,” loading and aiming big guns at the Confederate rebels. Our speaker has edited and published a book of their letters which were sent home. He will describe the brothers’ vivid record of fighting, their doubts, and differing perspectives. -Lynne Benz
