The Netherlands and the United States: Two Countries but One Spirit!
Klaas van de Tempel, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

For the final evening program of the year, we have the honor of hosting the Consul General van de Tempel. He will be discussing the special relevance the Netherlands has to the United States. With 400 years of friendship, a close relationship based on strong historical connections and shared values, such as freedom and human rights, has been secured between the two countries. In honor of Queen Juliana of the House of Orange-Nassau’s birthday, which is celebrated in the Netherlands on April 30, we encourage members to wear something orange.
