Sona Mehring, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, CaringBridge

After setting up a web site about a friend’s premature baby, Sona Mehring realized what a help it would be for families in crisis to be able to communicate with friends and family electronically rather than by phone. Thus, in 1997, Caring-Bridge was born. It hosted 43 million visits in 2011. Some 1,000 new web pages are added to the site each month. Mehring was named 2011 Most Influential Woman in Technology by Fast Company.

Russell Dedrick will present some of the winners of the Thursday Musical Student Scholarship Competition. Winners have received more than $20,000 in music scholarships. So sit back and enjoy.
