Historic First for the Minneapolis Council of Churches
Noya Woodrich, CEO and President of the Minneapolis Council of Churches

Woodrich cracked the glass ceiling twice as the first woman and the first American Indian to lead the 107-year-old Minneapolis Council of Churches. Her only career has been with the Council–unusual, she feels, for a young Generation Xer. She started in 1991 as intern while a junior at Augsburg College. She is an Alaskan Athabascan Indian who was adopted and raised in Wisconsin as a Lutheran.
