Speaker: Al Horner, Author and Founder of Not Me!
Al Horner’s experience as a former Navy SEAL gives him a distinctive approach to self-defense. In his book Not Me: Empowering Women and Saving Lives, he gives advice on how to detect a dangerous situation and what to do if you are in one. He specializes in teaching women what do to in unsafe situations.

One of Minnesota’s master musicians, Butch Thompson has earned a worldwide reputation as a jazz pianist and clarinetist. He is an expert historian of ragtime, stride, and classic jazz piano. He will perform, share his personal history, and tell us more about the people who made jazz America’s musical gift to the world.

Based on Dr. Peter Benson’s new book, Sparks! How Parents Can Ignite the Hidden Strengths of Teenagers, our speaker will explain the concept of SPARKS and how we can benefit from this new research.
